Gankino Circus (DE)
„madness and idyl“
Puschkinhaus | 15.09.2017 | 9.10 p.m. | auditorium
A concert by Gankino Circus is less a concert than a world music show, a cabarettistic spectacle, a subcultural sensation. The four musicians from Dietenhofen, West Middle Franconia, combine contemporary folk music, unrivaled playfulness and refined word-wittiness into a daring journey through the music of their homeland and the homeland of other people, described by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as "anarchic, crazy, brilliant". Through the program of the concert cabaret leads the brilliant story-teller and guitarist Ralf Wieland in a hilarious way and shows the madness behind the franconian village idyl. Also with him on stage: Simon Schorndanner on saxophone and clarinet, Johannes Sens on drums and accordion master Maximilian Eder.
Maximilan Eder: Accordion, xylophone, Fränkische Rahmentrommel, vocals
Ralf Wieland: conferencier, guitar, vocals
Simon Schorndanner: clarinet, saxophone, vocals
Johannes Senns: drums, small bass, vocals
