Renato Borghetti (BR)
Puschkinhaus | 21.10.2016 | 7.30 p.m. | auditorium
Who associates Brazil only with samba and bossa nova, is deprived of the vast cosmos of sounds developed at this huge country. In Europe little known is the music of the deep south. Renato Borghetti since the 1980s is known to be one of the big stars of this region and has been nominated several times for a Grammy. The Gaúcho with straw hat, long hair and wide saddlebags is rushing the stage, digs into the buttons of his accordion and ignites instantly fireworks of pulses from Milonga, Polka, Vanerão, Chamamé and Fandango - all those hybrid sounds that emerged by the encounter of German, Czech and Italian emigrants with the black rhythms based in Africa and the traditions of the Indios. Congeniously he is mixing the soul of Pampa with glances of jazz, tango and chamber music.
