Kaffeeschuppen | 15.10.2015 | 8 to 10.30 p.m.
Trandafirul makes clarinet, accordion, bass and percussion fuse into a globe-trotting mixture of Balkan and Klezmer. The band's name from Romanian (engl. rose') is a poetic clue to the possible origin of the repertoire. But the musical roots of the trio from Halle (Saale) are much broader. Their concerts present worlds full of seas, mountains and deserts.
Susa von Löwenstein — clarinet, vocals, castanets
Ramírez Populpa – accordion, vocals
Ivo Iglesias – percussion
