Rebekka Bakken in a whole new formation. This time with accordion player Stian Carstensen and drummer/percussionist Rune Arnesen.The Unusual combination of drums, vocals and accordion gives a fresh flavor to Rebekka Bakken's original material as well as songs by Hanns Eisler, Tom Waits, Siberry. The trio works within new musical landscapes, based on each of the musicians musical language keeping the door open for the most quiet contemplative minimalism, to hardcore expressive extravaganza!


About the musicians:

Rune is one of Norways finest drummers in several styles with a unique sense of time and touch and with natural born improvisational skills. He has worked with musicians such as Nils Petter Molvær and Dhafer Youssef


Stian: Except for being an accordionplayer in 6th generation, he is also a multiinstrumentalist.He is maybe most known from his band Farmers Market founded in 1991, where he mostly plays balkanmusic, but he is also improvising and playing in other styles as baroque, bluegrass, jazz and folkmusic.

He has worked with musicians such as Michael Brecker, Anne Sofie von Otter and Mike Patton to mention a few.
